Abstract:Information and communication technology has significantly affect the development of science mapping as well as encourage the increasing variety of methods for analyzing scientific publications, especially at higher education level. This tendency can be seen from the use of various scientific analysis applications with the aim of evaluating and planning by both Ministries/Institutions and universities. This study will analyze master thesis at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) to track scientific development. UNS Master of Educational Technology study program was chosen because it excels, focused on the development of IT in learning and has data uniqueness. This study analyzes general outlook of scientific development for 6 years (2012-2017). Research will also look at trends in the rise and fall of a specific research focus. In this research on the scientific trends and developments, science mapping combines co-word analysis represented by the master thesis keywords and social network analysis through degree, betweenness, closeness and pagerank centrality. General outlook, the development of relations between clusters and keywords and centrality from year to year will be analyzed using Gephi software. To get representative maps, the map will be organized using the Fruchterman-Reingold and Circular layout algorithms. To determine the trend of research focus, all four centralities will be analyzed using a linear regression approach using Tableau software. It was found that the division of keywords into 3 categories simplify the trends and development tracking. The study found that within six years, the focus of research was dominated by topics related to the evaluation of learning methods that emphasized cognitive aspects, had a contextual approach, cooperative and utilized interactive multimedia technology. It was also found that there was a shift in research from conventional learning media to information technology-based since 2015 and the emergence of new scientific topics since 2017. The future scientific trend is the development of interactive, contextual, cooperative learning strategies and utilizing information technology-based learning media.

Intisari:Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi secara signifikan telah mempengaruhi perkembangan pemetaan ilmu pengetahuan (science mapping) serta mendorong peningkatan ragam metode analisis karya ilmiah khususnya pada jenjang pendidikan tinggi. Kecenderungan ini dapat dilihat dari dimanfaatkannya berbagai aplikasi analisis karya ilmiah dengan tujuan evaluasi maupun perencanaan baik oleh Kementerian/Lembaga maupun perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini akan menganalisis tesis di Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) untuk tujuan melihat perkembangan dan tren keilmuan. Program studi S2 Teknologi Pendidikan UNS dipilih karena unggul, memiliki ciri khas pengembangan IT dalam pembelajaran serta keunikan data jumlah mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menganalisis gambaran umum dan perkembangan keilmuan selama 6 tahun (2012-2017). Penelitian juga akan melihat tren kenaikan dan penurunan suatu fokus penelitian. Dalam penelitian mengenai tren dan perkembangan keilmuan ini, pemetaan ilmu pengetahuan menggabungkan antara analisis ko-kata yang diwakili oleh kata kunci tesis dan analisis jejaring sosial (social network analysis) melalui sentralitas degree, betweenness, closeness dan pagerank. Gambaran umum, perkembangan relasi antar cluster dan kata kunci serta sentralitas dari tahun ke tahun akan dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak Gephi. Untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang representatif, peta akan ditata menggunakan algoritma layout Fruchterman- Reingold dan Circular. Untuk menentukan tren fokus penelitian, keempat sentralitas akan dianalisis dengan pendekatan regresi linier menggunakan perangkat lunak Tableau. Dalam proses analisis, ditemukan bahwa pembagian kata kunci ke dalam 3 kategori dan rumpun keilmuan memudahkan pelacakan tren dan perkembangan keilmuan. Penelitian menemukan bahwa selama enam tahun, fokus penelitian didominasi oleh topik terkait evaluasi metode pembelajaran yang menekankan aspek kognitif, memiliki pendekatan kontekstual, kooperatif dan memanfaatkan teknologi multimedia interaktif. Ditemukan pula bahwa terjadi pergeseran penelitian media pembelajaran dari konvensional menuju berbasis teknologi informasi sejak tahun 2015 serta munculnya topik keilmuan baru sejak tahun 2017.
