Abstract:Abstract Eels have high potential for domestic and international markets. Eel cultivation is still classified as many obstacles such as seeds that depend on nature and slow growth. In cultivation, water quality affects growth. One effort to improve water quality is by changing water. This study aims to determine the effect of water changes and find the best treatment for eel performance in indoor cultivation. The study was conducted for 63 days from November 9, 2018 to January 11, 2019 at the Aquaculture Research Laboratory, Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, Gadjah Mada University. The method used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments where each treatment consisted of 3 replications. The treatment given is a change of water as much as 25%, 75%, 125%, and 175%. The material used is eel which is stocked in a tub with 8 stocked densities. The parameters tested were absolute growth, specific growth, survival rate, feed conversion ratio, diversity of weights and water quality including temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen content, free CO2 and ammonia. The results showed that the change in volume of water 25%, 75%, 125% and 175% did not have a significant effect on growth, degree of survival, feed conversion ratio, and diversity of eel size. Intisari:Intisari Sidat memiliki potensi yang cukup tinggi untuk pasar domestik maupun internasional. Budidaya sidat masih tergolong banyak kendala seperti benih yang tergantung dari alam serta pertumbuhannya yang lambat. Dalam budidaya, kualitas air berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan. Salah satu upaya untuk memperbaiki kualitas air adalah dengan pergantian air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pergantian air dan mencari perlakuan terbaik terhadap perfoma sidat dalam budidaya secara indoor. Penelitian dilakukan selama 63 hari mulai tanggal 9 November 2018 sampai dengan 11 Januari 2019 di Laboratorium Research Aquaculture, Departemen Perikanan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Gadjah Mada. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dimana masing-masing perlakuan terdiri dari 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah pergantian air sebanyak 25%, 75%, 125%, dan 175%. Materi yang digunakan adalah sidat yang ditebar pada bak dengan padat tebar 8 ekor. Parameter yang diuji adalah pertumbuhan mutlak, pertumbuhan spesifik, derajat kelangsungan hidup, rasio konversi pakan, keragaman bobot serta kualitas air yang meliputi suhu, pH, kandungan oksigen terlarut, CO2 bebas serta amonia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pergantian volume air 25%, 75%, 125% dan 175% tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap pertumbuhan, derajat kelangsungan hidup, rasio konversi pakan, dan keragaman ukuran sidat.
